Woke up this morning to find two babies with 101+ temps. Wylie and Katie both had developed some sort of sickness practically overnight and this was the first time that I had any of them sick. They have been nothing short of pitiful as their fevers have risen and dropped all day. I took them to Dr. Thompson, scared it was the Swine Flu, but he felt that it was just a viral infection and told me to "hunker down for a couple of days." Little Maggie is just the picture of health...makes me sad to think that she will probably meet the same uncomfortableness in the near future.
Luckily, they aren't horrible when they don't feel well - they just want to be held. It actually has provided some really good cuddle time! I have no idea how moms with triplets, or even twins for that matter, do this by themselves. Mom was over here all day with me and we rarely had a moment where one was not rocking a baby. Mrs. Oswald had fixed a dinner for us yesterday which I had planned on cooking this evening. It was perfect timing to catch a little bit of down time before I find out what this night holds....cross your fingers it won't be an all nighter!
Sorry for another post without pictures...I will try my best to get some soon!
Welcome! Aaron and I wanted to create a website so that family and friends will be able to follow along with this wonderful experience. Thanks for visiting!

Help for a fellow triplet mom...
I know things are really tight for everyone but just thought I would put this out there...
There is a mom who is really struggling with triplets plus one. Everyone on tripletconnection is rallying for her so I thought I would throw this out there. She has a paypal account ( sarahgocards1114@yahoo.com )set up and I am sure anything would help. Also, here is her blog:

I couldn't imagine being on my own AND without a vehicle. Almost impossible to pull off I imagine. Here is her most recent post:
Thank you all so much for your kind words and offers of help. I am in disbelief that so many people have been willing to help me and my girls. This all started as a joke with me posting I needed $1 from 1500 people or $50 from 30 people to solve my problem. A friend on Facebook saw this and offered $10 from 150 people. Then before I knew it she had set up a pay pal account and donations were coming in from everywhere. As of a few days ago I had at least $875 towards the $1500 down payment. I can't do cash for clunkers because I had a two month lapse in insurance coverage back in the Fall so I don't qualify. My credit is awful due to the foreclosure on the house. I don't have credit cards and haven't for 10 years. It's simply the foreclosure and medical bills (I don't have health insurance in my current job). The only place willing to work with me is Carmax and they want $1500 for a down payment. If I could get my van there they MIGHT give me $200 at best for it. I've even tried those buy here/pay here places and without a down payment they won't work with me. So that is where my dilemma came in to play. As I've said in my blog, I have always been able to find a way. Even when it came to finding my apartment. But with this, I have tried everything I could think of. If it wasn't for my amazing nephew, who is loaning me his pick-up truck, I would need a total of 4 city buses to get the girls and I to school and work in the morning. And vice versa for the evening. There is no school transportation for the girls because they are on hardship transfer to their school. I requested they stay at the school they are at because I pick them up at 3:45 in the afternoon (my lunch break) and bring them back to the preschool I work at until I get off at 5:30. Everything is precariously balanced and without a vehicle, everything falls apart. The ex WILL NOT help. I get child support but it's very little as he only works part-time.
So this is a long post to answer any questions and to say thank you. I would NEVER have posted on here looking for help. So I was very surprised when Julie told me it had been posted here. I am often amazed by the generousity of people. I feel very much like I don't deserve the help. But I am so very thankful for it.
You guys rock!!!

Katie is the first to wave!
How sweet it was when she lifted her little hand and opened then closed it to me. We were in the kitchen yesterday and I was trying to get them to wave. All of a sudden, after studying me, she did it! I LOVE these babies!!!!

Climbing, Birthdays and Play!
So the past few days have kind of been a blur. While we are all still pretty sad about General, many many wonderful things have happened.
The babies are starting to interact with each other like the little individual people that they are. They play games and make the others giggle all day long. They have their favorite toys and continue to crawl at record speeds! And I thought the sweet cooing was sweet sounding!!! I turned 32 which was a fabulous day full of birthday wishes and lots of good food. The playroom will be completed next week which will give us so much more room to stretch out. And I ordered new carseats for the babies since they have become too big for the infant carriers. All in one week!
Here are some fun shots from the past few days...

This is what it pretty much looks like all day a long...a blur!

Maggie is able to sit by herself now (when she wants to!)

My Birthday breakfast!

Wylie surprised my on my birthday with learning to climb up his crib...won't be long for this one to be walking I bet!

Playtime all dressed up for Mama's big day :)

Aaron took my to Halyards that evening to celebrate...YUMMMY!

Goodbye Ol' General Dog

After a horrible accident yesterday, we decided that it was time to put Ol' General down. It was awful. We made the appt. at the vet and Aaron and I both took him in. Aaron had to carry him inside and then we were told that we could manage the pain but the outlook was not so great. He was restless and I think ready for peace. No one knows how old he was exactly but he was already an older dog when we rescued him seven years ago. Our hearts are very heavy this evening...
Tomorrow I turn 32...let's hope it is a much easier day than today was. Good night everyone.
