Game Night

What a fun night! My sister and her good friend Jill drove down from Valdosta to introduce us all to a game that Jill created...High Cotton. ( www.peachandlove.com ) It was such a fun and EASY game to play. As you can see, everyone had a lot of fun.

I was worried how the babies would do with so many people and all the noise. For the most part, they did great. Katie, of course, loved all the action. Maggie tends to stay back a bit from new people and Wylie freaks! Yes, freaks. Not sure if I posted about the whole mall scene but it kind of happened again last night. He just doesn't like crowds and he begins to scream. It took a minute to settle him down but once he was back in his little safe room he was fine. Now getting them to sleep afterwards was a whole different ballgame. Little fella was so worn out at 10:00 that I eventually strapped him in his carseat and we DROVE! Just the two of us through downtown, went to see the new middle school, past the house where I was born, should have gotten Aaron some dinner...by the time we got back home, out like a light!

Afterwards, we had some porch time with friends till eventually I crashed. All in all...it was a very good night!

Happy Father's Day

What a sweet day we had! Aaron first had breakfast in bed while I did baby duty. Then everyone hung out in our room while we did presents. Aaron received a fun little keychain with everyone's names engraved, a just for Daddy photobook with lots of pictures from the last year, and a couple of concert tickets for a weekend away this August (thanks Mom for agreeing to watch the babies!!!) It was kind of a lazy day which we both really enjoyed. Later that night, we took a walk with the babies and then grilled out. Here are a few from the morning...

Look at our new trick....SIPPY CUPS!!!

And to end on a sweet note......

Katie Goes Swimming!

So Much Fun!!! One of my best girlfriends, Kim, called yesterday and said they were heading to the pool. Aaron kept Wylie and Maggie while Katie and I headed out for a couple of hours. She did great! It is so wonderful introducing these little minds to such brand new concepts. What must it be like to see a swimming pool for the first time? She splashed (and um....was pretty good at floating on her back!)We watched all the other children...it was a lot of fun not to mention that she slept like a rock last night :)

Maggie is such a big girl waiting while I play on the computer...so sweet!

Enjoying the recent weather - minus the bugs!
Here is our friend Dante hanging out with Wylie

Daddy and Magles

Mom watched the babies while Aaron and I got out for some dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Headed over to the island and had a great time eating some sushi at Sushi Q's. The server brought out some fried oreos with whip cream on top. Not something I would have ever thought of but OHHHH my goodness! Good thing I didn't discover those when I was pregnant!

Look at big boy on his knees!!! Won't be long now!

Every Thursday, I am driving Katie to her physical therapy. At first I was kind of blah about making the drive EVERY week but I kind of enjoy it.

We had a good session with Sherry and then headed downtown to play a bit. After seeing the horrendous line in front of Mrs. Wilke's Boarding House in Savannah, we decided to grab a bite at Atlanta Bread Company. What a stroke of luck!!!! Wound up running into Kelly who was in the hospital room right next to me when we BOTH delivered triplets!!!! It was so great to see her. We have a timeshare at Tybee this August. Hopefully we will get up there for a couple of nights and let everyone get together. Wouldn't it be awesome if our groups grew up together!!! She had BBG so it is perfect :)

On Saturday, we headed to a local park to catch the Flying Frisbee Dog Show. By the time we got everyone packed up, to the park, into the stroller and the short walk to where the show was....we got to see TWO dogs - about 10 minutes. Oh the life of having multiples!!!

And here a just a few I tried posing them for. Check out Wylie and Katie's teeth!!!

Sorry such a long post!!! That is what I get posting once a week these days. So, Aaron and I finally booked our tickets to Vegas!!! His parents will be arriving at the end of June and will keep the babies while we head out West for a few days. It certainly isn't our typical vacation but neither of us have ever been so it should be a lot of fun. Kelly and her husband recently left their trio to go to the Bahamas...she cried every time she saw a baby! I hope that won't be me! Decided to start Atkins TODAY to get in better shape before heading to those beautiful pools! Wish me luck...I know I will be miserable for the next two weeks!

Our 6th Wedding Anniversary!

What a wonderful day it has been! Aaron and I got up this morning, got everyone dressed and headed to church. The poor nursery attendant earned her paycheck! The babies were kind of fussy and she was not comfortable with fuss! Another member ended up going in to help which was nice since it let Aaron and me really enjoy the service. The new pastor did great and I really enjoy listening to her.

Afterwards, we headed out to brunch which is my favorite meal...Aaron doesn't do breakfast that often so it was a treat! A friend of ours, Dante, happened to be driving by after church so he joined us thus giving us three sets of arms. However, our arrival at 4th of May caused such a stir, he wasn't really needed! Between Aaron, our waitress, family that was there and me, we were able to eat a little. And then a complete stranger walked up and volunteered to hold a baby while we ate. Turns out she had twins and enjoys/misses the chaos! She (CJ Adams) was really sweet and very helpful!

Aaron and I then came home, put the babies down for naps and watched movies all afternoon. Now, they are bathed, fed and watching Einstein. Should be an easy night...I hope!

Thanks honey for an incredible day. I love you so much! Happy Anniversary!

Two Weeks without Internet!

So, I guess our router broke and neither one of us have felt like dealing with it. Finally, Aaron called AT&T and I met them at the house and finally things are fixed. It has been lots of ups and downs around here. Aaron still has not been well since Easter. He finally decided to see a doctor and after an MRI and extensive bloodwork, we found out that he has Lyme's Disease. 2-3 weeks of antibiotics and he should be fine. Fellas: be careful of those ticks on the golf course! I, on the other hand, have had a nasty stomach bug which now my mom has. Thankfully, babies seem to be fine.

Katie started her physical therapy on Thursday. The appt. is in Savannah and it looks like we will be travelling up there once a week. Good news is that it may only be about a month and the therapist thinks we can strengthen her neck and fix her flat spot without a helmet. What a relief. I know how "Back To Sleep" is now recommended but I still think sleeping on the tummy has so many more advantages. Not that her tight neck is entirely due to sleeping on her back - it is also how I carried her. I am just thankful that we probably won't need a helmet.

The babies are scooting all over the floor these days. I finally bit the bullet and broke out the pack and play which turned out to be awesome! Even though our teeny sunroom has only a small path to walk through these days, I feel so much better letting them play while contained. We have started talking to contractors about renovating a little so that we can have a playroom. Please hurry!!!!

Wylie got up on his knees tonight!!! I was bringing Katie into the nursery and turned the corner to find Wylie on all fours!!! I gasped while calling Aaron - who rushed because he thought something was wrong! I was so surprised!!!!

OK...bedtime has just unraveled. Katie is screaming while Wylie is fussing. Better get to them before we lose control completely! Good night everyone :)

Aaron really pitching in while everyone was sick!

The new pack and play!

Tricky situations....

Friday, May 29th

Katie popped her two bottom teeth also!!! I thought babies got one at a time! Both Wylie and Katie have been happy teethers so far. Still no news on Maggie....she just takes her time with everything!
