Time really moves when you are keeping up with three babies! But, you know what, it is FUN! I am no longer feeling tired and overwhelmed. Instead, I am having such a good time being able to stay home and nurture these little ones into such neat babies. They are happy. Anyone who comes over can tell this. They smile all the time and are discovering their little voices. Maggie growls like a lion, constantly focusing on toys and making sounds. Katie is a bit more reserved...softly cooing periodically. Wylie loves when anyone is looking directly at him and if you say "Coo" he just burst into a huge gummy smile and begins his conversation. Their hand eye contact improves everyday as they roll things over and grab items on the floor gyms. I can get them tickled easy just by putting them over my head or shaking their little bottoms. Each one is now able to roll from tummy to back (a little difficult during the night because they can't roll back the other way yet). Every day is something new and I LOVE LOVE LOVE being a mom!

Wylie (14lbs 11oz)

Katie (15lbs 7oz)

Maggie (12lbs 15oz)

Daddy Time!

The closing of a chapter. Maggie's apnea monitor was finally picked up!

And the start of a new one! The babies are not quite sure of this "spoon feeding" business. Katie, or course, took right to it acting like a little bird waiting for the next bite. Wylie was so so about it and Maggie flat out refuses it!

AND.....Katie finally got a hang of the Podee bottle!!! Life just got a little bit easier...Thanks Cousin Dottie!

Love to you all!

Our First St. Patricks Day

The best laid plans...

Well, I had the best of intentions to get a picture of the babies all decked out in green and then take them down to the courthouse to enjoy a fundraiser with their Dad. Then, Tammy showed up to give them their Synagis shots. Then the breakdowns. Then the long naps that followed the breakdowns. Then the cold wet weather outside. Then all the visitors that stopped by. And well...the day was over.

Not even a single picture! Oh well, they did look cute for a short window of time!

Happy St. Patricks Day my sweet little babies!

People ask me all the time: "How do you do it?" Well....it looks something a lot like this :)A little glimpse into our living room:

What is a fella to do? Hanging out with the girls after our walk downtown...

Look at our new trick!

Maggie is Going, Going, Gone!

On Thursday, we celebrated Mom's Birthday with a little party and a cake from Sugar Bakers....YUMMM!!!!

My friend Cindy and her daughter Abby coming to play with the babies. Cindy ended up coming over all day on Friday to help out...it was a fun fun day! Thanks Cindy!

Saturday, I took the babies on their first road trip with just me!!!! The whole afternoon actually was really easy as we visited Nena and Pepaw in Savannah. I have to admit...I felt quite proud!

Sunday afternoon enjoying our recent weather...highs of 80! Aaron grilled the most magnificent lunch for us courtesy of his parents (they sent us Omaha steaks to "keep our strength up!"

Who can resist something like this!

Maggie

Last night, as I was getting the babies ready for bed, I watched Maggie. Surrounded by her brother and sister, she was perfectly content watching our nighttime routine of Baby Einstein. But what caught my attention was her sense of calm and joy that she has had recently. Her little legs were just a dancin as she would squeal with complete happiness at the toys being flashed across the screen. She was her own little person and she was having fun.

I know that they will always be a triplet but as I watched Mags, my wish is that each will always know who they are as an individual. She was not concerned at all with Wylie being fidgety or Katie beginning to fall asleep. She was just being Maggie.

Being a mother of triplets has turned out to be the most wonderful gift that anyone could ever experience. Sure I am exhausted but moments like this shine brighter than anything else. I am truly blessed.

Whats the Use?

After deciding that I WILL walk the babies everyday down to our church and back (1 mile) at top speed to help get this baby weight off....only to get home and eat a peanut butter cookie. Whats the Use?
