Has it really been two weeks since my last post! No wonder I am getting phone calls for new pictures!!!!
April has been full of activity around here. Aaron is just now getting over what we think was the flu. Almost 101 degree fever for three days. He hasn't missed a day of work (besides when the babies were born) in over three years and this week he missed two...not to mention staying in bed the entire Easter Sunday. Poor thing - quarentined to the back room so that the babies and I were not exposed.
Galin aka "Big Poppa" was also able to come down almost for an entire week from Houston. This was the first time he has gotten to see the babies and boy was he smitten!!! Galin is a very large man (former Georgia Tech football star) and to see the wonderful care and gentleness that that he gave the babies would warm anyone's heart. He helped everyday with feeding the babies and holding them. It was really nice to have him here.

On Friday, the babies got firsthand experience with going to the mall. Aaron, Mom, Dante and I took them in for a picture with the Easter Bunny. For Christmas, Santa made a very special trip to the house thanks to Aunt Wendy but I wanted to take them in now that RSV season is practically over. We each carried a baby so there wasn't as much attention compared to when we use the stroller. After a few adjustments, we finally were able to get a few pictures. Aaron and I ended up sitting in...three babies are a lot even for the Easter Bunny!
On Saturday, Aaron's brother, Matthew, along with his family, Dawn and Scarlett, came down from Atlanta and met the babies. Aaron and Matthew had been on the golf course all day so as soon as they arrived, I kind of threw them to the fire because I had to head to the grocery store for Sunday's dinner. It was so nice having them here and Scarlett has grown so much since the last time I saw here. What a neat little girl!!!! That night we had "Seafood Extravaganza" - a Mumford tradition where Galin fries everything under the sea...I STILL have leftovers in the fridge!

We ventured out on Easter morning and took the trio to church for the first time. Mom, Galin and myself since Aaron was in bed sick. They were the talk of the congregation afterwards. First Presbyterian was so very good to me while I was pregnant. It was fun to show off the "fruits of their labor!"
Later that afternoon, we had Easter dinner over here. I am sorry that we didn't take any pictures but it was a wonderful meal. I had my table set for 12! My brother was in town, Dante and Chris came over and two of our neighbors (Bob and Janet), Matthew, Dawn and Scarlett, Mom and Galin. Poor Aaron...didn't even make it out of bed for dinner.
Edit: Thanks Dawn for sending the pictures....Here is my table!

I am still laughing to myself about Monday morning when Galin left...he ALWAYS gets back on the road early early early - like 4 a.m. early! Aaron and I used to laugh and make bets when he was visiting whether we would find a note on the coffee table saying goodbye or if he decided to stay another night in which we would find him out on the porch drinking coffee. Except this trip! He was still around when we all woke about about 6:30 a.m. - one last morning with the babies I believe. He was ready for a bottle and ended up feeding all three. It was really touching.
So, after a frenzy of activity, things are finally getting back to normal.
Yesterday, however, I kind of took the day off and had a "me" day. I had lunch with another local triplet momma-to-be. Ashly is the wife of a high school friend who is expecting triplets in September. She came over to the house to see the babies before we headed out to lunch. I think it kind of freaked her out a bit seeing the babies and what her future will look out....still adjusting to the fact that she is pregnant with three. I remember the feeling oh so well! They are going to be great parents though and I am so excited for them! Afterwards, I had a quick doctor appt. before I went and had my toes done. And then....an hour long massage!!!! Aaron gave me a massage for Valentines and I just now decided to take it. It was heaven. When I got home, Mom had cleaned my house, put clean linens on the bed and had all the babies bathed. How nice is that!!!! I love her so much!!!!
This morning, Aaron finally looked better. He actually got up with me and helped feed the babies. He took Wylie out to pick up the paper...
Hope everyone had as good an Easter break as I did! Love to you all - Karen

How about changing your title to "Amazing Mom of Three" - beautiful Easter dinner table setting and wonderful food - chairs all recovered prior to Easter - I'm very proud of you and the Mom that you are!
Love you, Mom
I love seeing the pictures of your babies. The Easter bunny pictures are great!
I agree with your Mom - the fact that you had that wonderful Easter dinner on top of taking care of 3 babies is absolutely amazing. Thank you for a great Easter. It was wonderful to see you all. - Dawn
